Weebly is being annoying and not saving my post titles. It also takes FOREVER to publish my posts. I don't currently have wifi at my house so I use my mobil data. If I'm in the right spot in my house, my mobil data is strong enough to seemlessly stream Netflix. Being pregnant and often dealing with morning sickness and fatigue, I have binge watched quite a few seasons on Netflix. Yet Weebly seems to think the wifi is not strong enough to publish my posts! Or update them or save the titles of my posts! Are you kidding me, Weebly?! Their website is pretty nice, but their app is garbage! The app also doesn't let me spell check anything. So I am sure my spelling and typoes are flurishing right now. If anyone is thinking of using Weebly for their blog or website, I hope you won't be needing to use the app because it is LAME.

I found a project for National Novel Writing Month! This November, I will pick up my novel Tick Tock again. I last wrote in it for Camp NaNo. I can't recall which year. I wrote about 18,000 words that month. This month I reread my work and was pleased enough with it that I didn't feel the need to rewrite any of it. This week, I picked up where I left of and managed to write 2,000 words. I am so excited to finally be writing in a novel again! And this one is my favorite. :) I've always been proud of Tick Tock. The characters have depth and interesting backstories. I have so many ideas for the adventures that await them. 50,000 words is a lot, it's an intimidating number for me. Especially when I look back and see that I have only achieved that number once before and that was a long time ago. However, I am feeling optimistic about it. Enough so that I have come back to blog about it. If I win, you will definitly here from me again in December. If I lose, I will likely have found other things to occupy my time and will probably forget to blog about it.
Tick Tock is a story about three young ladies who can travel through time. The novel probably falls in the young adult category. As all my stories go, there is action, adventure and of course romance. They travel to colonial America, the colonization of the wild west, a futuristic Mars and galaxies far beyond our own. Naturally, there is a villian. A man who threatens the life of the main character, Claudia, but his motives remain hidden until the end. There is much to the story, but I shalln't give it away. I also haven't outlined the whole thing. I'm not that organized of a writer. I tend to just wing it. So I don't yet know what all will happen in their travels, but I do have some major plot points in mind. As November approuches and I try to prep myself, I may write bios for the Tick Tock characters and post them here. Then I will be brainstorming for the novel and exercising those writing muscles. As you can tell, I am pumped about NaNoWriMo this year. I am feeling optimistic, or at least hopeful, that I will win. I would love to finally complete this novel, or at least get close. |
