Ginny and Cayden did a post on their blogs about writing which has inspired me to do likewise. I'm not sure if you can tell, but I'm still struggling to keep up with my blog, especially during Camp NaNoWriMo. Since I'm so busy writing in Darkest Before Dawn I don't have the time to edit anything to share with y'all. Anyway, back to the writing prompts. Writers, I challenge you to use one of these prompts today. "I want my legacy to be...", "I was sentenced to die...", "Her rage held the power of a wildfire...", and "'Goodnight' you said, 'goodbye' I said, and you didn't even think twice." If someone uses all of these in one story, I will be very impressed. I don't know who all my audience is, but for now I'm going to pretend you're all writers who like doing this sort of thing. Please pick one or more of the prompts above and use it to write a story (or several stories). I've created a Google Document that I'll share with you where you can put the story. Now when I say story it doesn't have to be a whole story, you can just add five words to the prompt and it'll be good enough for me, or you can put something as long as a chapter. Just have fun with it. In the end if you've participated then I'll choose one of the stories to put on my blog and the writer of that story will get to choose a writing prompt for me to add to. I don't know about y'all, but this sounds really fun to me. You can also use the writing prompt pictured on the side that I didn't list above. The link to the document is below labeled "For the Writers". |
